BlasterAudigy Recording

Will the blaster audigy se record from cd's or whatever is playing through the speakers?

I downloaded and installed the window 7 drivers but i am not sure if everthing is how is should be. I don't see mircosoft sound mapper in device manager. What devices should I see under sound in device manager?

Right click to show unknown devices. You want something like "record-what-you-hear" or similar.

Makes no sense to use CDs like this. They should be digitally ripped with something like CDex and lame.

All I want to do is use audicity or whatever to get my guitar into a file on my pc. I am using line in as a source as the guitar is hooked directly to that input. It simply won't record. I have the line in as default and inside audicity I also have it selected. Can it even be done?
