I cant hear Audio on my Turtle Beach x31 headset...

Hey, sorry if I posted this in the wrong category

So I bought the cable for the Turtle Beach x31 headset so I could use it for my PC. Well the mic works but I cant hear anything through the headset. I'm not sure how to fix it so now I'm here. Any fixes? Thanks!

Edit: I tried plugging in speakers into the rear port and one of the speakers work. If thats useful at all

The Turtle Beach ad says this "works with Xbox 360.

What type of cable did you buy?

What model Dell do you have, I assume some model Inspiron desktop?

Yes the headset is for xbox 360 but I bought Turtle Beaches PC Chat Adapter Cable. I have a Dell Inspiron 570 desktop.

Heres a link for the cable if needed: PC Chat Adapter Cable

The Inspiron has front panel headphone and mic jacks. If that isn't working, the rear GREEN speaker jack will work for the headset portion (the Pink jack on the rear is the Mic jack).

Do you have the basic RealTek on the motherboard audio or do you have the optional SoundBlaster Xfi Extreme sound card?

I have the basic Realtek Audio. And when I plug them into the front ports, only the mic works. And the same happens with the rear ports.

But you have some speaker sound on the rear port, right? That says the cable or headset is the problem.

Try reseating the cable at the headset end. Unplug then plug back in.
