if TV will not have this option this is different. My concern is that i cant find this option in my laptop
Perhaps your tv only supports stereo for some reason does it list anything about what the tv supports when you look at the properties. Here is a picture of what my Intel HD chip supports on my work laptop, should look similar.
please have a look
you think that if connected device will have more than 2 channel support i will get additional options in config?
yes, also i jsut got out of oral surgeruy so am a little loopy atm, so replies may be slow im suprised that intel dislay audio does not show your tv model though. It seems the tv it self may be your hindurance. Can you get the model of just the samsung receiver for me im sure it must have an optical in somehwhere.
Malcolm.
if i will find the specifc model nuber i will reply
thanks
Sparnuk, If your display supported 5.1 through HDMI, it would have showed up in your control panel. Your Samsung display does not support 5.1 nor does it have an optical out or better known as a SPDIF out to connect to a supporting receiver Note: SPDIF, or as rcvjew calls it S/DIFF, stands for Sony, Philips Digital Interface.
If you could post the model of your Surround Sound Receiver I could tell you if it is even possible to setup 5.1 Surround Sound from another source. What you may need is an external USB sound card. But not knowing what your receiver can accept I can’t tell for sure.
hi "society misfit" here is the model SAMSUNG HTZ315
