Intermittent audio hang when playing video files, but not YouTube

So, an old computer. Lately been having some serious problems with it. The most frustrating one, is that all audio from video playback, will hang for about two seconds, every forty seconds or so. This makes all video files unwatchable. I have no idea what to do. I use a USB headset, and figuring that was the problem, unplugged it, and jacked earbuds into the headphone jack. No change. I've updated all driver, run malware and virus scans. All come back clean. The issue does not occur when playing YouTube videos.

Attached zip file contains MSINFO file, and Event Viewer System log, because browsing the forum, those get asked for a lot.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help

Its not a PC sound card problem if it happens with USB headset. When using USB headset you are bypassing the PC's sound card and going digital. The conversion to analog is done inside the headset.

Although sound is affected, its some other PC system problem. The first thing I see is only 2GB of RAM. With only 2GB of RAM you are at real world bare minimum for a 32 bit OS and really pushing it with a 64 bit OS that uses more memory. There is very little left for programs. The only reason to use a 64 bit OS is if you have more than 4GB of RAM.

    Okay, thanks.

Guess it's just time to retire the old girl. Take her out to the glue factory with a shotgun. Had a good run, over ten long years. But, all good things must come to an end. I guess we'll call this solved, if it can't be solved any other way.

The "old reliable" may still work but they can be over taxed with newer Operating Systems. How well they work is the issue.
Some applications can work OK and others have issues.
