    Audio goes slow and crackly?

    Hi there,

When I'm using my monitor speakers my computer constantly switches from brilliant sound quality to slow and distorted/crackly. I've tried loads of fixes and re-installed all sound drivers and still no fix. If anyone might have any ideas, please leave a message!

    Thanks,
    Nizzeh

What type of connection are you using to the monitor? Is it connected via HDMI or is the sound connected using the Green Speaker Jack?

Makes a difference. If you are connecting via HDMI then the video card is supplying the audio and not the PC's audio (Realtek according to your system specs).

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I'm using the HDMI port in my GFX card for audio.

    Thanks

Do you have another TV with HDMI that you can try this on, just to eliminate a problem with the TV.

As you are using HDMI the "sound card" for the audio is on the video card.

Is regular audio, using the PC's sound card OK? If it is, the problem is in the video card. First step, if it is in the video card would be to "reseat" the video card. Reseat - with the PC powered off, open the case and remove the video card then reinstall making sure its correctly and fully seated. Power back up and see if this helps.

    Hi there,

Sound through PC's sound card seems fine (use it through my Headphones) so I have reseated my GFX card and will report in and let you know how things go.

    Thanks.
