    Bluetooth Question

    Hi,

Not a pc question, but the folks here seem to,know just about everything, so let me ask here, as I cant think of a better place.

Just got a new smart Samsung tv.
    Know nothing re Bluetooth.

Manual says it will work, with Bluetooth headphones.

Does this mean that the tv probably has already built
    in the appropriate Bluetooth wireless
    transmitter/receiver ?

Or is something else requored besides the Bluetooth Headphones like am additional transmitter, etc. ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

Without knowing the model number of the TV it's hard to be certain but I would think that if the manual says is supports Bluetooth headphones then it must have the Bluetooth transmitter/receiver built-in since without that component, stating that is supports Bluetooth headphones is meaningless.

    Hi:

In addition to the excellent advice above, you might be able to find specific information at the Samsung site, such as:

Official Samsung Support or TVs - 3D, LED, LCD, Plasma & HDTV Televisions | Samsung

    Your New TV Is Smart

Download Center: Download Software, Firmware, Drivers & Manuals | Samsung

    Contact Samsung Support

On the Samsung site, I found a fairly generic manual that described Bluetooth capabilities of certain models of Samsung TVs. It's very definite that at least the models covered by the manual I looked at have built-in Bluetooth as there are sections that describe Bluetooth pairing with headphones, keyboards, mice, etc...

    ^^ Indeed ^^.

Without knowing the OP's model #, it's hard to be more specific than that.
    Thanks for checking.

Having said that, this does all feel a bit "off-topic" for a Win7 PC forum. <LOL>
