    Creative X-Fi 7.1 Sound card, new headset has buzzing noises


    I just got a new headset from GAME (GioTeck HC-4) and when plugged into my Creative sound card makes a very faint buzzing noise inside the headset. I know it's not the headphones because they work in all my other devices like my mobile, laptop and work with my MSI 970 gaming motherboards on board sound card. I tried the sound card with a completely brand new windows 7 installation on a separate HDD and the buzzing noise is still there but I'm currently using my motherboards on board sound card because there isn't any buzzing

    Make sure you are getting a good ground (earth) connection between the jack on the Xfi card and the plug on the headset. Wiggle the plug when inserted into the Xfi jack and see if it makes any difference.
