    Windows Audio service not running after malware problem

    I had a pretty severe malware problem a few days ago.. Windows would start up and there would be a bunch of errors about WerFault.exe and NOTHING would run, not a single piece of software. Turned everything off, even a bunch of windows services and removed the malware, but now I can't turn the audio back on. The services show a bunch of different errors.

    When I try to turn the service on

    'Windows Audio' on Error 1068 Dependency service or group failed to start

    'Windows Audio Endpoint Builder' 1722 RPC Server is unavailable

    Remote Procedure Call and Locator are both set to automatic and have started alright.
    Plug n Play is set to automatic and has started fine.
    Multimedia Class Scheduler has started find and set to auto.

    Hope someone can help me set this right Thanks for taking the time to read.

    Hello and welcome theone mat try running this - you will need to make a bootable disk though Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10

    You might even try these if you haven't already - just to eliminate stuff
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

    then these - I know you have cleared the malware but these take only a few minutes to so

    http://www.superantispyware.com/
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
    ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
    (NB If one is running Kaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kaspersky while the ADW is being used)

    Tried the first two, SFC scan didn't find anything, checkdisk came up empty as well :/

    Already tried the anti malware programs and removed all the infections. Everything else works fine, I can play games and movies but the sound is off :/

    Ok mate now some system specs please System Info - See Your System Specs as we need to see what is in the machine. Now I am guessing this might be a driver problem but as I said until we know what you have in the machine - hard to tell you what to do.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
    I tried installing the latest version of .net Framework, and it installed successfully as well. But still get this error :|

    I just looked at the audio drivers.. on the device manager I can see AMD High Definition Audio Device and Realtek High Definition Audio, I uninstalled both and they automatically reinstalled after scanning for new hardware, but when I right click on the audio logo, and click on playback devices it tells me audio device is not running and weather I'd like to enable it. I say yes and a moment later I get a box saying 'No audio devices are installed' under playback and the same under recording tab..

    Ok mate can you send the specs of the machine please as it is hard to diagnose something one has no idea of what is inside the machine. See the link in post #4.

    Sounds (no pun) like something amiss on the board or card if you have one installed.
