Hi welcome to the forum
check the default playback device is set to the hdmi audio
That is the only option. It tells me that the device is not plugged in. Also no audio devices are found.
go to hp support site and download and install the graphics driver then check if option is available. has it ever worked?
I don't have internet right now. Was just trying to play my cds. It has worked before but my husband didn't use it for a while because it crashed from a virus. Since its been cleaned and restored the sound doesn't work.
none of the sound works? from playing a music cd or windows sounds?
Nope. Not even game sounds. It says the audio device could not be found and its unplugged. Its been awhile since I worked on computers, I couldn't figure it out by going into the control panel and everything else.
OK remove the hdmi cable from laptop. go to device manager and post a screen shot of device manager with the sound section expanded. also post a screen shot of the default playback window.
The only thing I have removeable on it is the charger cord and sd card and piece sticks out of the usb port. There isn't or hasn't been an hdmi cable. I am on my phone with bad signal. I have pictures of the default playback window it won't upload for me.
got cunfused by the title of thread said hdmi. on a internet computer download and tranfer it to the hp and install the driver from hp support site.
