it looks like that Realtek HDA github repo has been recently taken down and served with DMCA notices, Melchior.

that's pretty much a "game over" (I think Realtek has pretty much cracked down as noted from this comment from this Station Drivers forum page) - no more realtek audio driver downloads from there (except for certain modded ones made by other users)

on the other hand, I was able to find this v6.0.8874.1 FF00 HDA X64 driver cab download from MS Update Catalog several days ago and it works from Win7 to Win10.
    Well doesn't that just suck...
it sucks Realtek has chosen to go down this path... considering they have not updated their HD Audio drivers on their home site since 2017... its shameful... even more so considering them have YET to reply to even one of the emails I sent them...

This is where I get the Realtek HD Audio drivers for Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Realtek HD Audio Drivers 6.0.8899.1 WHQL Download

Version 6.0.8899.1 is what I'm also using, and they work fine.

Realtek listens more to OEMs / mobo makers than with PC end users like you & me

Edit 3/12 - and since there were also some security vulnerabilities discovered in the legacy HDA drivers (from 8855 & older) and later patched up by Realtek (as noted in this BleepingComputer article in early Feb. 2020), not making these newer security bug fixed Realtek HDA drivers easily available is also not helping their cause.

all of alanfox2000's stuff (including his account) on github has been removed

but you can send him personal comments on his user profile in MDL forums (need to be a forum member there to do that)

-also edited one of my older posts that now mentions the 8821 FF06 HDA driver link

contact the webmaster of the codecpack.co site about the broken 8899 FF00 HDA link and have him/her fix it.
