hi guys...
just downloaded the new acer realtek hd audio driver..
for win 7
driver version 6.0.1.5888
looked under aspire 6930g..
working on my aspire 6920g..
its weird since the last 4-5 updates I have not had a single problem, no more pops :) audio codec is ALC268.
I am still having problems with the sound. I have to click that box in the settings just to hear sound from my speakers. I can hear system sounds great, but from websites, youtube etc.... the sound is good but, can't hear any words really. If I click that box off under the speaker window (speaker fill) then I get nothing. I do have the latest realtek driver 2.35 I think it is. My question is here is my motherboard:
Board: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 965P-S3 (do I need anything from them for the sound? **new driver?**
Also, when or should you ever update your bios? Here is my current bios. *There is a newer version as of like oct 2009*
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. F5 09/20/2006
any help with the sound will be GREAT! It worked perfect in XP
