Thank you Dwarf. First post updated, and will finish the update when it is downloadable.
Yep, that's annoying. On another note, have you tried their Express service? It's even slower than their normal ones (I usually think that they need to put another hamster in the wheel), but with that I think they're using snails instead!

LOL, yeah I got a good chuckle when I saw how fast (sloooow) it was downloading with it. I don't see how they think that is Express service.

unfortunately not. everything's exactly the same after installing. 5 speakers + subwoofer work perfectly only when I test them in system in playback devices on windows 7 and on realtek HD audio manager. but only 2 work in every other application.

thats a pity. Because as i understand the drivers are pretty much done
You must have some weird motherboard....

On mine everything works fine even with much older drivers.

Skip 7 and stay with Vista?

I never had vista and I never will. On XP everything worked perfectly. When I had that problem on XP, then I just unplugged the cables and plugged them back and a small window appeared asking me which of the speakers I just plugged in and after that everything worked perfectly. But no such window appears on windows 7 in any realtek drivers. another weird thing is that no matter which realtek drivers i install, the interface of the hd audio manager looks totally different than the one from XP. even though i'm installing the same exact file. and the weirdest thing is that they do work great, they are detected and i can play all of them but only and only in these 2 applications when I test it:

    AND

And when I open for instance iTunes, only 2 speakers work. Windows media player, every game, browsers, everything.
