New Realtek HD audio driver 6.0.1.7882 available. See first post for more details. :)
Brink i'm using firefox and when i click that microsoft update catalog link on the first page i get this: Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Update Catalog To use this Web site's full functionality, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.
To upgrade to the latest version of the browser, go to the Internet Explorer Downloads Website.
If you prefer to use a different Web browser, you can get updates from the Microsoft Download Center.
So i clicked on the microsoft download center click on hardware drivers and clicked on veiw more at the bottom then on the next page i got a search box and entered realtek drivers 6.0.1.7882 and all i get is a page to shop for laptops and desktops and 2 downloads for windows embedded 2013.
Is there a direct link?
Hi,
No add-ons for firefox or any other browser so far.
Go to realtek's site if you don't want to use ie11 for one task :)
I don't have ie11 only ie8 and microsofts websites say something about my internet explorer is out of date and there is no updates and to update to windows 10 to get the newest internet explorer. I'm running windows 7 ultimate x64 and windows update don't have a new version of internet explorer. it's not that i don't want to use internet explorer but alot of sites i go to on there complain about my ie out of date.
And have you tried going to the Microsoft page to download/install IE 11?
I would recommend you go there with your current IE8, not Firefox, but it seems this is the proper manual way to upgrade at this point.
ie6 and above will work on the catalog although not much reason not to update ie no matter if you use it or not.
The add-ons will install a lot faster if you run ie as admin by right clicking it....
Don't ask me why :)
Now since i did that what do i do with the .cab file it downloaded? Cause i selected the second one added it to the basket, it asked me where to save it i choose the downloads folder waited for it to download tried to extract with 7zip and it failed. Winrar same thing.
I've never updated the sound driver but I'd guess you do it from device manager and point it to the new driver you just downloaded.
I did download it and do not see a setup.exe
