Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

Note to Brink

Realtek has released R2.83 drivers on their web site around near end of January 2024 & early February 2024.
however, R2.83 has the old 6.0.1.8186 drivers but updated MS digital signatures & with certain Realtek HD Audio manager files updated
(in short, R2.83 is pretty much a "retreaded" R2.82 release and does NOT support "newer" Realtek HD audio chipsets like ALC245 {DEV_0245} & ALC897 {DEV_0897})

Hello everyone, like alot of people on here I'm looking for Solutions to my Sound Problems. A little back history. I have a ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI coupled with an I9 11900k CPU, and a Asus 3060TI Until recently the Sound worked. Then about a month ago I was unable to Boot Windows 7 Ultimate due to the Boot Partition, either being corrupted or files got deleted. I think EasyBCD2.3 had something to do with it. So I worked at it til something Clicked and I once again was able to boot up. I not sure, I think I might have had sound at that time, definitely before the non booting problems.
So I thought that I would install an Asus 4070 TI Super Tuf Gaming Card. I did a fresh install of W10Pro because of my working one stopped booting as well. I was using EasyBCD2.3 to Dual boot. There is Video drivers for W10 not W7. Got Sound in W10, none in W7. I tried many a Realtek Sound Driver including the ones mentioned in the previous post. but was unable to get sound regardless, that is until I used an unsigned one. The only thing is I got an exclamation mark on Realtek USB2.0 Audio still.
Yes I tried to enable, disable each sound device. Currently my Sound is going thru NVIDIA Hi Def Audio. Oh I also removed the 4070 and replaced it with a 1080 TI, which is in the computer now. I was hoping that the card would load drivers, that when I re-installed the 4070 it would keep the Sound drivers.
Asus says the Realtek Chip is a ALC4080. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I re-installed the 4070, now I don't have sound and not able to use the onboard Realtek Sound. I was watching a YT video and found out that most graphic cards has sound on board. That's why I was getting sound from the 3060 as well as the 1080. I was using NVIDIA GPU software that was compatible with W7. Now need to find away to get the NVIDIA Hi Def Sound to install on my system without installing the Display Driver

Hey guys,

I have the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5 motherboard, I'm trying to find the latest stable audio driver for it.

Currently I'm using the one supplied by Gigabyte [R2.70] released Oct 2012. The "Realtek High Definition Driver" properties say it's "Driver Version: 6.0.1.6662". I suspect it's out of date?

The specifications on the website say it's a Realtek ALC889 codec, but I cant find it listed on the Realtek website.
The above links 'Erpster4' provided are giving an "oops" error.

Any ideas where I might be able to find the latest ALC889 driver for Windows 7 64bit?

UPDATE, I couldn't edit my post above. I found a R2.82 driver & installed that. For some reason it didn't install a Realtek Audio Manager software with it though.

I just installed R2.83 and can't seem to open the Realtek control panel on my Win7Pro pc. Are other folks also seeing this? Any tips to open it? Are older versions of the driver available anywhere to download?
