    Boost Level

Right click on Playback devices. Then Right click your current device, under properties click on the enhancements folder. Select the Bass Boost box then press settings...
There you can change the Boost Level to a lower value ore none...

    Hi there

I think the OP wants to know HOW you can make it not that you CAN make it.

    I'd be interested as well.

    Cheers

    equalizer

i have to go to control panel, under sound, and go on the properties of my speakers. i can also change the equalizer under the realtek hd audio manager. i dont know where you can find this but it came on my hp computer. this seems to work quite well for me

Sorry to revive this, but I just found something that answered my needs which seemed identical to yours. It's called "Hear." They have a 30 day trial here: Data Recovery Software | Download Free Trial for Hear | Prosofteng

I went from looking for new speakers to being completely happy with what I have thanks to it. Hope this helps.

    Hi

Maybe i have missunderstood something but W7 has a potent equalizer , go from library mode to playback mode and then right click the little arrow beside the volume control and there you have it , grafic euqalizer .

Hey there. I use an external sound device that has no equalizer included in the drivers. I can't find an option anywhere in Windows. What can I do? And if there is a hidden driver-independent universal equalizer in Win 7 (no Mediaplayer, also in games etc.), please be precise.

The reason is I currently have a crappy headphone (expensive but crappy and it'll go back asap) which I want to dampen a little in the treble and make more mids-heavy.
