More information is needed. What is the USB Adapter? Does it hum with PC speakers AND headphones or only with speakers? What is the motherboard model and what is the on board sound?

Startup/shutdown, depending where in the process the sound is activated, could be the issue especially with USB devices as power is applied to the USB port or powered off.

i noticed last night when i unplugged the power supply cord it made a loud noise and then i plugged in a different cord it made a loud noise too...not a crackling but a loud banging sound through the speakers...only happens when i unplug/plugin in cord or turn power supply off using the sitch at the back

i hope it is not the motherboard....the motherboard/cpu/hard drive/burner/memory is new...the power supply is used

Where was the noise when you unplugged or plugged in the PC's power supply cord? In the PC itself or in the speakers? Just unplugging or plugging in the power supply should have no affect on anything. If it does, either the power supply is defective or you have some type of grounding problem.
