    Volume icon missing

Volume icon has disappeared from notification area. In control panel, under "Notification Area Icons", it is not there. When I click on the "Turn notifications on or off", it is greyed out and can't be accessed.
I saw a thread to download a "reg" file to turn it on, and it hasn't worked.
    Any other ideas?

Hello moebeech, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

Double check to make sure that you have your audio drivers installed, then see if using step 9 in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below may be able to enable your Volume icon.
