No audio in YouTube with Explorer 11. Firefox works just fine

Win 7x64 running Internet Explorer 11.

All YouTube sites run but have no sound. At the bottom of the screen there is no sound (loudspeaker icon) displayed.

Opening same YouTube sites in Firefox, the audio is just fine, and the sound icon is displayed.

Any ideas? Other than just avoiding Explorer.

Is IE's slider showing in the volume mixer?

If yes, is the slider up and not muted?

My Volume Mixer shows no separate slider for Explorer:

it will only show if you have IE open.

Sorry that I was not clear. Please check the volume mixer while IE is playing a YouTube video.

The separate slider for Explorer now appears, but still no sound!

Stumbled across the solution on MS site:

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Multimedia > Play sound in web pages must be checked.
