Dell PP28L | Internal Microphone Not Working

    Hello,

I sometimes make overviews in virtual machines and technology tutorials on my Mac for YouTube and other video sites, I bought a Dell PP28L laptop yesterday with Windows 7.

There is an internal microphone (2 are listed) but neither seem to detect any audio, the volume setting is on 100, and I have tested both of the listed, but neither work.

I want to do a tutorial on installing Movie Maker 6.0 (Vista version) on Windows 7 easily, but can't do it, because I need to use my voice in the video, of course.

Would like some assistance please, thanks ^^

PP28L does not return anything on the Dell support site. Do you have another number for this unit? It must be an old machine?

Also, what is listed in the Device Manager, Sounds section? Post a screenshot.

I think I made a mistake because I don't think it even has an internal microphone, sorry for time wasting

That's OK. At least you found out what hardware it has or doesn't have.
