the answer to the second question. Yes, i have tried uninstall the driver and then let windows update find a driver, but that does not work either. The wierd thing is that all the different driver i install have the green bar moving when i test it, but no audio is coming from the speakers. Since i dont have hdmi output on my laptop there only one playback device on my laptop.
Could you answer this question please?
Are the Realtek drivers listed in Programs and Features?
If so, did you uninstall them first?
Could you go to Start > Run, and type msinfo32, expand the Components section and click on Sound Device .This may give more information on the card.
You could try this freeware utility for complete cleanup, then see if Windows picks It up or you can try the other download links.
