    No sound. Realtek. Windows 7.

    Hi,
I have eMachine e725. Sound card is Realtek ALC272 @ Intel 82801IB ICH9 - High Definition Audio Controller. With Windows XP everything was OK, but I have a problem with Windows 7 x64.
I instaled driver given by manufacturer, but it's only Vista x64. However other drivers for Vista works perfect in Win7. I also tryed other driver's version form internet. But result was the same. But there was diffirence: with some drivers the sound bar was moving while the movie or winamp was playing, with ather the bar wasn't moving.
There is also small sound icon in lower right corner, speakers are set as default.

P.S. Sorry for Eglish... non native speaker

Have you tried allowing Windows Update to find the driver for you? Uninstall your drivers and see if Update can find one and install it. I run realtek drivers also. There is an update for W7 which is linked a couple replies up. If you had input from programs and you saw your green bar moving then Windows was processing the sound. That would point me to your HDMI output. Stupid question: Are you using an HDMI cable to produce sound to your monitor? If I am not mistaken the HDMI driver allows your sound controller to talk to the HDMI output. If you aren't using the HDMI port your not going to have audio. Otherwise you have to use your regular sound ports for audio. Just an educated guess.
