Windows Media Player 12 - 'WMPCDText' not working anymore

    Hi all...

    I'm running Win7 Home Premium (64-bit) with i7 processor.

'WMPCDText' is a plug-in that allows Windows Media Player 12 to show Track/Artist info at top left of the player's screen.

I've used it for ages without problem but now all it shows is 'Track 01 etc /Unknown Artist'.

I uninstalled Version 1.4 and re-installed it. Doesn't seem to be any newer version.
However, same result...Already searched web for solution but no luck.

I also use Media Monkey and all tracks/artist info show there as normal

I've not added any new software, nor uninstalled any, other than WMPCDText.
So no chance of potential conflict causing this snag.

Any ideas what could be going wrong with WMP? Some tweak needed somewhere??

    Many thanks

I've just found the answer, folks...All on my own too!!

    Solution:

Open Windows Media Player in Library View

    At top left:
Organize > Options > Plugins > Background > ensure WMPCDText is ticked in box on the right

All Track info will now show!!

    Hope that helps someone else!!
