Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional

I have installed Windows 7 beta on my PC and so far like what I see. However, I do not like what I hear. I have the soundcard mentioned and everytime I play music or watch videos I get a horrible scratchy, clicky, horrible distorted sound coming from the speakers. Has anyone found a way to fix this yet or is this yet another terrible driver release from Creative?

    Any help would be great,

    Thanks,

    Mike.

Please read the post talking about this issue here
We apologize as the post was originally about Documents Library and ended up with X-Fi issues

You might find the solution for your problem

    Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I have installed the driver from the creative website but it doesn't seem to be working. Very annoying, using my on board sound now instead. No problems with that but quite annoying that I've spent money on a new sound card that doesn't even work!

Yeah, you and the hundred others that have the Crackling and Popping issue with this card.

Maybe there's hope for it yet, maybe you could use it on a different computer with no nvidia cards that might not have conflicts with it

So frustrating isn't it? Why can't Creative and NVidia just work together to come up with some sort of a solution! It's getting rather boring now! LOL!
