Speaker pairs with Bluetooth but no sound from speaker

Thanks in advance for any help.
I paired a UE 2 Boom speaker to an 2010 ASUS 1005 PC net book.

The speaker is paired, but streamed music is played by the netbook speakers, not the UE Boom Bluetooth speaker.

I have tried to update the Bluetooth drivers for the netbook, but it says I have the latest drivers.

Device manager says everything is working properly.

I uninstalled Bluetooth in device manager, rebooted the net book, and the Bluetooth reinstalled with the same results. Music from the netbook but not the Bluetooth speakers.

I have deleted the device in Bluetooth and paired it again successfully with the netbook, same results.

If I look in the sound, only the netbook speakers are shown.

The net book is running fine otherwise.
The netbook OS is Windows 7 Starter.

I would like to use the net book and speaker to stream Pandora and Shoutcast when in the garage, pool area, or working in the yard.
The netbook is small, long battery and streams music fine.

Plus I can leave my expensive laptop inside.

Thought about trying a Bluetooth dongle, but I am determined to get this going.

    Thanks

Did you set the Bluetooth as the default audio playback device? If not, that is probably the problem.
Go to Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel, Playback section.

The "Speakers" are the default playback device, unless you have an HDMI connection and then that becomes the default audio playback device. If the Bluetooth is not showing up as an option, its not fully installed or detected.

Check the Device Manager and see what it shows for the Bluetooth.

I had to connect the bluetooth speaker in the sounds to get it to show up.
    Works perfect now.
Small and easy way to have bluetooth outside and in garage!
    Thanks
