[Windows Sounds](Empty Recycling bin sound) (permanent DELETE TOO?)
I setup NEW custom [WINDOWS SOUNDS] for my PC/Laptop...
Using FIRST wav files I downloaded, made from Portal 2 (valve) sounds...
http://winsounds.com/portal2-sound-scheme/
THEN I converted many notification ringtones from my phone...
from mp3 to wav using my favorite Music Player Foobar2000! lol
https://www.foobar2000.org/
I changed most of the basic Windows Sounds MUCH TO MY DELIGHT!!
so to the point... lol
I have the Windows Recycling bin set to
I have attached said wav file in an RAR Archive..
and all of them in the 2nd archive...
LOL BE PREPARED to LAUGH!!
NOW back to the point... while I can set the sound for when the
recycling bin is emptied..
I WANT IT TO PLAY WHEN I PERMANENTLY DELETE TOO!!! lol
Any SUGGESTIONS????
I am figuring some kind of Windows Registry HACK??!
OK I have found a few things...
FOUND the reg location for the sounds schemes..
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes]
with help from Google SEARCH and
http://www.techrepublic.com/article/...system-sounds/
....
here is the key for the default recycling bin sounds..
as extracted from a reg backup...
NOW is it even possible to add a custom reg KEY entry for making sounds occur when I permanently DELETE a FILE/FOLDER??[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Explorer\EmptyRecycleBin]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Explorer\EmptyRecycleBin\.Current]
@="C:\\Windows\\media\\P2_windows recycle.wav.wav"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Explorer\EmptyRecycleBin\.Default]
@="C:\\Windows\\media\\Windows Recycle.wav"
I FOUND this..
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\Windows.del ete]
BUT I cannot add a test value:
- sound
- sounds
- etc??
PERMISSION DENIED.. ofc uggh.. M$!!!!!!!!!!
I tried changing permissions DENIED TOO!! M$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STRIKE THAT.. had to take ownership first..! lol
ok..
trying the following values with..
data ="C:\Windows\Media\P2_windows recycle.wav"
- sound = failed
- sounds = failed
- DeleteSound = failed
