Infuriating sound loss with Bluetooth UE Boom 2 on Windows 7

Hi all

I'm having a really frustrating problem with my new Bluetooth speaker. Essentially, it pairs fine with the bluetooth receiver I bought and is recognised by the computer. It's recognised in audio devices as the default device and in the taskbar, and when audio is playing the green bar is going up on the volume bar as if sound is coming out. And sometimes, it is. However, almost every time I boot my computer, the sound seems to die after a short while. In fact I literally just rebooted it and opened iTunes and could get sound. Then, perhaps 30 seconds later I loaded up Spotify and tried to play something and it was no longer working. I have been fiddling for days and getting nowhere. Any suggestions would be very helpful!

Cheers

Hello mlunberg first up can you please follow this
Now before we can help we do need to know what is in your machine so please do this System Info - See Your System Specs
or either enter the specs of your system in your forum profile the specs will appear when we click on that little box bottom left of the post screen it is for me the preferable option as it is easy. As you may appreciate it is very hard when you don’t know what one is working with for example a diesel or petrol engine.
(pretyped to save time)

Plus if you haven't already please run these

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f switch and if this does not make any improvement then just run this switch instead /r in the command line as per Option2
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs – you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

if no fix then these

http://www.superantispyware.com/
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

There are different audio settings between listening sounds saved on the computer and streaming such as Spotify.
