Realtek Audio Manager doesn't open after update of course!
Kind of a common Realtek driver's problem it looks like as far as from searching for fixes, etc...
I just recently found the June 2017 latest Realtek driver update, thanks to Windows Seven Forums and have spent the last 3 hours trying to find a way to get Realtek Audio Manager to appear but nada, no way it is simply not going to do it after countless times i've reinstalled the driver and i stripped clean any processes of drivers left over afterward, to once and finally again, download the update and to no avail will the audio manager open. Once on Autoruns, it yellowed a tag of the actual speaker application as missing but now it appears with the current installed driver and so it is in the folder where the Realtek drivers are.
Besides that, i have a problematic Optiplex Dell 980 PC (small form factor) where i purchased new but it had been equipped with a SSD and i would imagine from that point or as i said everything was new about it, i requested Windows 7 regardless, but the problem with the sound/speaker or the internal speaker was either configured incorrectly or something happened that the internal speaker to the motherboard will not shut off even when applying the 2.1 external computer speakers and to that end a Dell Tech said to just remove the speaker from the motherboard and provided picture how to do it, etc..but i never did because I'm still not sure if i do do that if i will have access to sound for the computer external speakers.
Aside of that, i had the Realtek sound manager functioning before the install of the latest Realtek driver (or I presume that that must be the current/latest driver) and that's other thing that you really have to look around to find if there is an update-Driver too, because on the kind of bland site, there's not much for support either. I'll make it a point not to get a computer like this nor that uses Realtek drivers in the future-for sure! And if all else fails, i can go ahead and do roll back or restore which is what I was going to do before this last try on this great forums, so...
Meanwhile, thanks if you have any suggestions or ideas other than the ones i've pretty much tried from finding on this site (as well) as far as possible fix for this particular problem and thanks for taking the time in it too!
