    Ho and welcome

Can you confirm you have the correct driver by typing device mananger in search. Go to the sound tab and see if the driver is listed and if it has a yellow triangle on it. Also let us know if there are and "unknown" devices with yellow triangles

    Let us know

Go to the Control Panel/Hardware and Sounds/Sound. In the Sound Panel click on the Recording Tab. There should be an icon for your microphone. Click on the microphone and then set it as default. That should get it working, assuming everything else is OK.

Which jack is the mic plugged into - front or rear (on desktop), if plugged into front jack try the rear and vice versa.

Has this / does this mic work with other operating system on this machine?
