Universal serial bus controller is faulty in Win7 device manager
I have a new install of Win7 on an MSI 760gma 34.
I have an older Yamaha RPU100 receiver which I've been using for years and is quite old.
But it plays well through previous builds.
After running the install disk for the Yamaha, there is a device listed as Other and exed out
with the usual yellow marking in Device Manager.
Realtek HD audio has been a nightmare for me before. I have run the mfg Realtek setup.
There is sound but it's thin and tinny and seems not be getting through.
I've done all the checks I can think of save for that Universal Serial Bus Controller marked
as uninstalled.
I will supply a screen shot but as said, this is a new build without everything in place.
The receiver is a special product now long discontinued.
It has an interface in software to control it's functions on the computer screen like
a remote.
In those settings there is analog, USB, and another digital out setting.
There is sound in analog, but no sound in the USB setting even though the RPU100
disk was run and says installed. What sound is there sounds incomplete.
That's all I have on it. I cannot locate nor can Windows update find the Universal Serial Bus Controller needed. My older build where the RPU100 normally resides is once again playing fully when reconnected.
