Of course the file will return. If it's still a problem after the reinstall, , follow my directions to remove it.
Backup all your data before wiping!

Kind of curious why you're program won't run on a 64 bit system. A wild guess but probably 90% of the programs out there are 32 bit and they run just fine on a 64 bit system.

re: windows default beep when it shouldn't be happen

Some of those ham radio, sound card driven, digital tx decoding prog's goes back as far as Win 2000. I use them still because they are free, open source prog's. I haven't found any newer free, open source prog's to replace them with. The ones that I use the most are Ham Scope, a PSK-31 prog and a slow scan tv prog. And Ham Scope can decode cw and rtty. There are other modes of digital tx, like hell scape, weather satellites, moon bounce and there is also a bunch Oscar (ham radio) satellites in orbit. Because I live in an apt and I can't put up any outside antennas. So I am forced to operate HF via an internet controlled remote base or mobile in my SUV. Only cw, rtty, psk-31 and slow scan tv will work via the remote base. I have lived in a few apt's that allowed me to put up outside antennas. In fact one of my landlords was a ham operator him self. The ham radio hobby keeps from getting to board and beating my head agenst the wall, just kidding.

I know my question is unrelated to the problem you reported but those programs should run on a 64 bit system. You might want to change the compatibility mode in the .exe file (s) properties.

Sorry to interject into your pursuit of an answer to your original question.
