    In your first post you said there isn't a pci slot for your old sound card. Was that meant to say you can't use any sound card and you'll need to use the integrated sound on your mobo?

    No, I just mean that I can't use the soundcards I already have because they're PCI. The integrated MOBO sound is the only thing I can currently use, and as it'll almost certainly give a latency problem with a MIDI keyboard, I'll have no choice but to buy a new soundcard.

    Yes I think so. It's the only kind of socket my computer has that is likely to carry audio data in and out.
