    No sound

My wife has a home built computer. I built it. The sound has quit. How can I trouble shoot it?

    Hi william,

Has the Sound ever worked on the computer since it was built? What Speaker connection are you using - USB, Bluetooth or jack? Have you tried connecting the speakers to connectors at either front or rear of computer case?

can you post the hardware specs of that computer, WilliamP458?
use programs like HWInfo or Speccy to gather the hardware information, including the Audio/Sound devices.

Can you still see the Sound Icon on the right-side of the Taskbar? Do check the Master Volume is not set to zero or muted. Check the Audio Device driver in Device Manager, and play some sound/music and see if the sound levels is changing from the Playback Tab.
