Have you tried sourcing the PDF for the headphones and looking in the faults/diagnostics section?

Here you are saying that they DON'T work on Win 8.1 and Win 10.

So you are saying that they WORK on a different laptop. Is that laptop a Win 7 laptop?

    Please do this . . .

Under the heading msinfo32 [MS System Information] - Problem Devices . . ., please run MS_Info32_Find_Problem_Devices.bat, Option [2] and [x] from here => BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you.

    I hope this helps!

Yes the laptop used is only five months old it came wit windows ten head phones worked. I loaded win seven the head phones worked I have this morning I loaded win seven the hed phones worked I have ro noeloaded the original OS on it and the headphones work. So the problem is my Lenovo. My neibhour says it could be Mechanical. if not changing the mothrboard is a no no. I will try batch programs mentioned.

A re-installation is a bit drastic at this stage!

Run my batch script as per post #4.

You say the laptop is a Lenovo?

    Run the built-in troubleshooter . . .

[1] Click Start => type Troubleshoot.
[2] Select Troubleshoot from the list of results.
[3] Select Playing Audio => run the troubleshooter.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi valdarma77,

I would definately check the Playback Devices under Sound Properties and make sure that it is set as the default playback device.

Click Start => Control Panel => Sound => Playback Devices tab.

What is the model number of the Lenovo and is it running Windows 7?

    I hope this helps!
