Hi and welcome

By the talk I assume you mean the peoples voices. If that is so you may have the sound control panel configured incorrectly for stereo instead of 5.1.

We need a ton more info before we can help. what sound card, etc

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I had the same problem. I was running the PC into my HDTV via dvi to hdmi cable and the sound into my TV via stereo cable into the input for audio when using DVI. (One of the HDMI inputs on my tv has a stereo input for users running a device via DVI.)

Either the PC or my TV handled things incorrectly. Anyone have an idea as to why?

If you're doing something similar you may need to use speakers designed for a PC. I'd try it thru my stereo receiver but it has a channel out and I don't feel like hooking it all up just to not be able to use it =P

Hope this helped.

Have fun playing a music video as desktop background
This is not a "must have", but it is a lot of fun. You can play a video as desktop background which is especially nice if it is a music video. For that you need VLC. If you do not have it yet, you can install it from e.g. here ( Download VLC Media Player 1.1.2 - ). And here are the...

Music/video played as background won't keep playing
Running Win 7 64 bit on a home built machine. When I play AV from the Internet, e.g. radio or a HULU TV show, or play a DVD video, the player runs about 5-10 minutes and then stalls. I have to wiggle my mouse to restart. I though it was connected to my screen saver, so I reset it to none. Then...
