Soundblaster Live! 5.1 on windows 7

Hi, ive just upgraded my system from xp straight to windows 7 ultimate 64-bit... and installed all the drivers needed for my motherboard... but i had a creative soundblaster live! 5.1 audio card which windows 7 is not detecting on my system (uknown device, multimedia audio controller). i have downloaded drivers for my on board sound driver which is via technologies and got the stereo mix working fine. which is what i need to record.. but i cant seem to get no sound coming out of the speakers with my microphone and obviously cant record from pc by stereo mix with no sound coming out of microphone aswell............ basically i want to know if theres any drivers for my sound blaster card which will let me get on with recording sound and using my microphone aswell..

As you can tell im new to all this and dont have a clue what im doing haha,
    Any help? Thanks Cozzy

    Hi Welcome to Seven Forums

You can download the driver for creative from Creative Worldwide Support

Or can try the Auto Update http://support.creative.com/download...utoUpdate.aspx

    Hope that helps

Sorry to say it won't as there is not now and never will be Windows 7 drivers for that card.

I'm using an HT Omega "Striker 7.1" sound card. It's fully Windows 7 32/64 bit compliant and has the System Mixer function (for recording streaming audio). I haven't had any problems and the only problem I've seen posted here turned out to be a user configuration problem.

I know it's available in the US and Canada, not sure about other places.
