    Audio Problem solved

Like other posters who have audio problems with Windows 7, as a last resort before Microsoft puts out a workable driver for onboard Realtek sound card, I uninstalled the version (6.0XXXXX ?) that came with Windows 7 and installed the 25/4/2005 version (5.10.0.5125) that came with my Asus P5LD2 motherboard. It's working like charm now.

After restarting the system, it will complain that the version of driver is not compatible with Windows 7. Fortunately it gives you an option to run the program, just click "Run Program" and that's it.

Before I go and look for this driver, does anyone know if this is actually true?

It might work, especially if you are using the 32bit version of Win7.

Alternatively, all you have to do is find a relatively similar driver (one from the same series, or even just the same general platform) and just edit the driver to include your card. If you are at all technically proficient, please see my thread (first post) and modify the instructions to suit your card. I am sure it will work (if you find an appropriate enough driver)

    Cheers!
