    is it possible to hook those 2 up??? or is that for the onboard audio only???

    ok so those same type of connections have to be on the external sound card, the same as the motherboard???

    I really never tried it, but I suspect that you won't be able to connect if they aren't

    I've never seen AC97, or Azalia HD, pinouts on external (USB) soundcards. I doubt it will prove possible to use the case front ports without a ridiculous amount of custom adaptation work.

    i would like to find a card that allows me to put my front audio jacks cause i think this asus xonar d2 that i have does not have the connections for that.

    sotorius, what do you need to plug into the front panel? I think you can plug everything to the Xonar X2 in the back, you shouldn't need to use the front, which you can leave plugged to the motherboard

    well i have speakers and an external mic and i also have a headset that has 2 3.5 jacks for headphones and mic.
