Changing Volume Only Affects Left Speaker

    okay.. IM GETTING CRAZY

    i have the same problem with the asus xonar d1 sound card. i reinstalled the driver and I deleted the hsmgr.exe. if i look at the balance control of win7 i can controll the right speaker, but in real nothing happens. there are no problems with the onboard and keyboard (G510) soundcard.

    I really dont know what to do... i hope somebody can help me... thank you.

    Sorry to bring up such an old thread but this is the only thread I can find on this subject. I'm still having this problem with Windows 10 Professional x64 - volume control only affects left channel, right is always 100%.

    Only way to fix that I have found is to Uninstall Device from Device Manager and reboot. It works for a bit and then fails again after a while. I think the bug may be triggered by CoreAudioApi (used by .Net apps to control volume etc.).

    Has anyone found a better solution? I already have HsMgr.exe/HsMgr64.exe disabled.
