    No sound in windows 7

Hello, I'm new here, and I just upgraded from 64 bit vista to 64 bit windows 7 with the free upgrade program. The installation went fine, however I have no sound. I'm using an ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo motherboard, and the installation CD that came with the motherboard says it is not compatible with the operating system. Did I do something wrong with the upgrade? I chose to do a clean install, after backing up most of my files. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Realtek Definition Audio Codecs

Hit the check box and hit ok -> Choose the .exe file tat is for Windows 7 -> Let it download and run the installer

Should get your sound to work

After checking the box and pressing next it just says "Object moved to here" and takes me right back there.

I have had several folks have issues with the Realtek page (lousy page)

Go to Realtek -> Downloads (At the top) -> High Definition Audio Codecs -> hit the check box, next -> Executable file for Windows 7, Vista (download)

Downloads going extremely slow at the moment (40-60 kbs/sec). I'll post if it works. Thanks for your time and help.

After using the install wizard, asked me to restart my computer. I did. After that nothing really changed. I have a realtek folder, but none of the applications will open. Could this be just a bad download? Is there a mirror somewhere?

Sounds like you just downloaded the ZIP folder...

Go back and download the Executable file
