Don't know were to put audio cable in hd sound input

    I got a Compaq Persario V3000

and I have a Digital Audio (S/PDIF) built in my laptop and I don't know were to put my sound cable.

There are two Speakers which I know were to put them

but for Digital Audio (S/PDIF) it say it is located in the Rear Panel jack

Please help me.I know it is located but I don't know were it is on my laptop.

    Many thanks,

    Ritesh

    Hi ritesh,

Depending on how you have got your system configured, the audio out socket can provide both analog and digital output.

I doubt that your laptop has an HD jack. You can try Googling your laptop, and seeing if you can find a user manual.

Sorry I can't be of more help,

You're right, it doesn't. You can see it here (have a look at the "Notebook Tour Guide"),

Manuals for Compaq Presario V3000 CTO Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

all it has is a a single audio out and single line in/mic jack (both analogue). I would also say that from the looks of the screen shot that ritesh that he hasn't installed the drivers for the sound yet, and is just running on whatever default driver that Windows installed. He doesn't say whether it is 32 or 64 bit, but you can get the Vista driver (no 7 driver listed, but the Vista one should work) here,
