how to delete windows navigation start sound.

i have a problem with my windows 7.
i wanted to disable the navigation sound for windows explorer and internet explorer, after i choose 'none' for the option, there will be a 'unsaved theme' created automatically.
so can i just delete 'Windows Navigation Start.wav'?
if yes, can anyone tell me where is the folder of this sound.:)

    C:\Windows\Media

And I'm not sure the ground it's on, if it's protected or not.

BUt i'd say keep a backup copy, just in-case you need it back.

I do not recommend deleting the sounds, simply disable them and save the "theme" with a custom name. You can always switch it back if you need to, and the possibility of Windows bugging you with errors about not finding those sound files is 0.

It was not a problem to start with, and I bet that you'll regret it.

@sReKcAh - In the sound schemes you can change any default windows sound with a custom file. i don't know how much changed in 7, but back in the XP days it only supported WAV files up to 30 seconds long. Have a look at this tutorial
