    Sound got reset??

I just re-installed windows 7. My headphones use to work and now they don't?

So I go into control panel and see whats up with the sound. This new sound driver (Digital Audio (S/PDIF)) appeared. Its set as default and picking up sound. I'm just not hearing it...

The only other sound device is Digital Audio HDMI.

Do you have a headphone icon in your Sound properties box?

If so, make it the default setting as you're trying to use analogue equipment with digital sound.

If not, have you tried the both headphone socket and the sound card socket with your headphones and that the headphone jack is fully pushed home?

Nope. Just these two. I don't even have speakers...
Might need to find Realtek HD Audio driver off the internet...

With the playback window open, right click any where in an open area of that window and select "show disabled and disconnected devices" and see if it doesn't show up.
