Sirius Widget and Sirius Media Player Not Working(Fix)

    Hi all,

I haven't seen anyone post with this issue just yet and thought I would try and help those having trouble getting the sirius satellite media player and sirius widget to work should they stop working properly. For some reason the player stopped working out of the blue and after troubleshooting all hardware possibilities I found everything to be in order but still no streaming radio.

In short if you paid your bill on the account :) and its not hardware related I would suggest the following:

This was originally a thread in Windows Vista Forums...
Sirius player in IE7 problem - Vista Forums

Try renaming (or deleting) the folder C:\Users\profile name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Media\12.0". The folder contains the files WMSDKNS.DTD and WMSDKNS.XML.

In my case i simply deleted these two files and restarted the widget or the web based player that uses the windows media player internals.

Really hope this helps someone as I spent several hours chasing this one down and stumbled across a related thread that did the trick. Thanks to the original source and let me know if you see anything that should be changed.
