Disable jack detection and device disconnected?
Hi there.
I decided to test out Windows 7 and take it for a testrun and until now I have noticed a few issues I have let passes but this one takes the cake.
My jack detection is a little bit out so if the cable moves in a certain direction, it will detect it as the jack being disconnected and connected again with the slightest movement.
This was no problem with XP, it would still stream out audio throught the audio jack even if it detected that the jack was disconnected or not. In Windows 7, not so much.
If the jack port is not properly sending a message about it being connected, Windows 7 will disable it, shut down and disable every option for it until you connect it again. This is particle annoying when the motherboard itself has a broken jack detection and the only resolution is to buy a new motherboard.
In my previous case of the instant disconnected/connected, it will create an empty space of silence for like a 0.5 sec - 2 sec in the middle of the song.
What I was thinking is if it's possible to disable this behavior in any way?
Sincerely:
Jonatan Nilsson
