Windows 7: No Audio Output Device is installed.

No Audio Output Device is installed.

Recently installed Windows 7 and now I have a red cross beside my speaker icon and it says 'no audio outpud device is installed'.
Any advice please?

System Specs would be nice for someone to try and help you.
However, in many PC's when you do an install you have to (1) Install Windows (2) Install chipset drivers (for motherboard) and (3) install device drivers such as sound, video, ethernet, etc. If you didn't do this on installation, and especially the chipset drivers, that could be the problem.

windows 7 ultimate 32 bit

Recently I am also facing issue with the same problem getting red cross beside my speaker icon and it says 'no audio outpud device is installed'.
Ma laptop is VAIO VGN-CS290J with 4 Gb Ram , Windows 7 ultimate with 32 bit,
I also checked in the Device Manager i cant see any Sound device or UNKNOW device.
I also installed the drivers for motherboard + updated the OS still the same issue.
Please help me.......
