Help: Audio Drivers Are Messed Up

Ever since I bought my computer, It has had stupid audio driver problems. I run an Asus Notebook K53E on Windows 7. But anyways, the problem is, whenever I have something with music open, I can't play music on iTunes, Windows Media Player, or Audacity, an audio editor I use. Even If I close out whatever has music playing, I still get errors and can't play music. Here's one of the error messages:



I've tried updating my drivers and re-installing them, but it doesn't work. My computer has Realtek Audio Drivers. I don't know if there are other drivers I could install, but I didn't want to install something and then have a computer with no sound. I don't know what to do, and this is really starting to get on my nerves and I want it fixed. Please help. Thank you!

I think your audio frequency is incorrect so it doesn't output the sound.
control mmsys.cpl sounds

Go to start, search run (or winkey+r) and enter 'control mmsys.cpl sounds'
Double-Click your speaker (usually default and has a tick next to it) > select the advanced tab and adjust the audio sample rate until it plays.

It may fix it. Sorry if it doesn't but try turning off all the enhancements if there enabled. It is something to do with the drivers being unable to output sound. as they're incapable due to one of the settings.

I think you may be right. The frequency was set at 48000. I changed it to 44100 and It seems to be playing alright. Thanks :)

Bump! I'm still getting errors and I don't know what else I could do. Please someone help this is so beyond annoying.
