    LX-3000 head set, this cant be right?

    The only way I can use this headset is to go to control panel select sound and manually select it as the default. If I dont do this the headset will only output not input. If I use my desktop speakers it resets them to the default. In short every time I want to use these headphones I have to go into the control panel and change them to default! Even Vista 64 didn't do that.

    Am I doing something wrong or is this Windows 7?

    Hi Brycea,

    First, please fill out your System Spec as completely as possible, but especially note your sound card manufacturer and model number.

    Cheers,

    Please provide the exact model number of your sound card. Is it an Audigy Platinum? Audigy 2 ZS? Audigy 4 SE? It matters :)

    I'll try and find the box an get back with details, but these headphones worked perfectly with Vista 64.

    EDIT: Here we go;

    24 bit SE, SB1394.

    I just upgraded my daughters computer and put a Creative SB 5.1 VX card in, a much more recient card than I have, I think I'll swap them as she is using only two speakers. This card plus new drivers may help although the problem seems to be with Windows 7 not allowing the headphones to work properly unless set on default.

    Okay, let us know what happens when you swap the sound cards and try again. Good luck!
