    Striker 7.1 Driver installation issue

    Hi,

I just purchased the HT Omega Striker 7.1 sound card and can not get the Windows 7 drivers (s81740v.zip) to install. The error comes up as "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\Norm\Downloads\Striker 7.1 drivers\Program\Cmeauvist64.exe"

    I tried
dornif's old solution to fix the problem by copying the \Program\Cmeauvist64.exe from the installation disk and that actually got the install to start but now it says "Please plug-in HT Omega Striker7.1 device!" and deleting the HsMgr.exe, but I don't have the HsMgr.exe on my computer.

So while waiting for Omega support to get back to me I tried installing the drivers from the disk, under Vista compatibility mode. That helped install the drivers (Vista drivers) and I now have sound but when I try to open the the Xear 3D it locks up my computer.

Also it seems as if the
(s81740v.zip) drivers are missing some files, ie Progam folder and Software folder from what I take from dornif's post.

Any Ideas how I can get the proper drivers installed?
    Thanks

If you are using a 64 bit win7 it wants drivers signed by Microsuck. This an issue I ran into w/ my Pc Chips A33g system w/ a SoundBlaster pci sound card. Are you using 64 bit system ??

I used to have a Striker 7.1 card installed. I ran into some install problems but HT Omega tech support gave me the needed instructions to get it going. I don't have the Striker 7.1 currently installed and didn't keep the tech support instructions.
