My sound is Screehcy and inaudiable

    Hey there,

Im not too technical so its been hard for me to identify the problem, all i can say is that whenever my computer plays any kind of sound it is screechy, distorted and ear peircing. i have no idea of the source of the issue at all.

the same problem occours no matter the out put be it headphones or speakers, teh problem still occours when I plug the output device into the secondary plug.

It occoured randomly while streaming music.
I use the windows default audio driver (PnP audio) and have tried unintalling and letting windows update reinstall, but to no avail.

The soundcard i beleive is intergrated to my Asus M2N SLI-E mother board, if that helps

any light shed on this would be very grateful,
    Thanks.

ive checked for that, however Asus no longer produce drivers for this MB. as its old accourding to The AsusTek Forums

"This motherboard is from 2006 = OLD = STONEage, so don't expect anymore updates from Asus!"
not offcial but the last update was a few years back.
There are not even Windows7 Specific drivers as an OS option.

aftr reading a few suggestions in multiple posts over there, sounds like a poor motherboard in the first place, tempted to just buy a new one after checking for compatibilty with everything else.

    Thanks.

(also my apologies its the M2N-E SLI)
