    weird window freezing

Hello .. i created a problem and i was wondering if u could help me solve it out.. Well i went to control panel\sounds then the recording tab. i pressed right click and then "show disabled devices". . i enabled stereo mix and set it as default. Then the window stopped responding . it didn't turn white and say not responding like when there is a crash. is still there looks like is ok but i can't press anything, i can't even close it, or move it around..
Well i opened the task manager and next to it, it says that the program is running . i pressed end task and the window was closed. i restarted my pc but still when i go to control panel\sounds and to the recording tab the whole window freezes. Only when i press the recording tab though. that's all..
    please help if u can..
    thanks in advance!!!

Go to system restore...OR if you have made system backups , restore it...I think it should correct the problem.

    Hello Jmxmak89,

First you could try to set your level settings to 16-bit, 44100 Hz.
I've heard that this can be solved by uninstalling the device by Device Manager and after reinstall it should work. But I haven't tried it myself..

You're welcome. :) System Restore has indeed saved the bacon of many fellow tinkerers here.
